APPLIED THEATER IN VOJVODINA FROM 2000. TO THE PRESENT DAY

– book editor and one of the authors together with Marina Milivojević Mađarev and Milan Mađarev

KORICA

The book is an outcome of the research project „Applied theatre in Vojvodina from 2000 to the present day“. In the first part of the book, Marina Milivojević Mađarev outlines the social and theatrical context in which applied theatre emerged in Serbia. Milan Mađarev explains the theoretical postulates, points to the development of the idea of applied theatre in Serbia and gives an overview of its current state. In his text, Ivan Pravdić discusses the expanded practices and perspectives of future development of applied theatre. The second part of the book contains transcripts of the round-table discussions held in four towns (Zrenjanin, Novi Sad, Kikinda and Šid), during which positive experiences of various forms of applied theatre were identified. At the end of the book there is a list of groups and individuals who are actively engaged in applied theatre in Vojvodina with their detailed biographies (including their eductaional background, experiences, projects and collaborations) and a clear insight into their understanding of the notion of applied theatre.
